In Loving Memory of Cy
As such, this site isn't going to be a biography of his life. This isn't going to be the "story of Cy" but rather "stories about Cy" from the views of his friends and family. Some funny, some moving, some sad- all the way that he lived.
Between December 22, 1980 and July 9, 2019- Cy touched more lives than any of us could know. In searching for a way to honor my friend and Brother, I thought it might be most fitting to provide a place where all that knew him could share a story or memory of Cy.
In short- this site is a most humble and sincere way to honor a man that I was proud to call my friend. Fly High, Cy.

High Flight
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air...
Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew-
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Remembering His Life
Cy didn't live at half-speed in anything he did. No matter what he was doing, his involvement was going to be 100% or none at all. He was "all in" all the time and his enthusiasm was contagious in every way.
As such, this site is going to be broken up into multiple sections. It wouldn't be right to try to "categorize" his life without doing it in order of Nichole and his family first and foremost. Somewhere after that were a myriad of friendships from all walks of life, his passion for navigating the skies, his deep love for Freemasonry, and his appreciation for the outdoors. Therefore, this site will humbly try to capture just a few of the many moments in Cy's life within those aspects of it.
Admittedly, building this site was both helpful in healing some of my heartache as well as heart-wrenching at times. I laughed and smiled at many fond memories. I wept unexpectedly with various photos that tugged at my heart. I suspect it might have similar effects on many visitors.
Cheers to you, Cy. You changed lives, and I'm truly a better person from having been your friend.
